English Worksheet

This English worksheet will provide learning fun along with excellent practice with spelling and vocabulary words. It is suitable for students in approximately grades 5 - 8.

English Puzzle Worksheets

Yum-Yum! A delicious word scramble, full of compound food words. You won't find any doughnuts or fruitcakes here, but you will find 15 other foods. 

Opposites Unscramble 16 words, then match each on up to an opposite that's also in the list. Fun two-part activity for extra vocab practice!

Number Spelling Scramble - Students will practice the correct spellings of some tricky number words with this fun page. It's a great way for younger kids to get in some extra practice with some frequently-misspelled words. 

A Long and Short Puzzle! Climb aboard the Crossword Express for this challenging vocabulary puzzler! You'll need to supply long synonyms for some clues and short synonyms for others. As you begin to fill in the grid, the letters you provide will give you clues to more and more words. 

Watermelon Words - Every answer to this fun crossword is spelled using the letters in WATERMELON.  (You'll be surprised at how many words are possible.) A juicy challenge, for sure!

Vocabulary Word Lists

While you are giving your students English worksheets like the ones here, because to keep stimulating their vocabulary skills. To help you do that, I've recently added several graded vocabulary word lists, from Kindergarten on up. Here are just three samples. 

2nd Grade Vocabulary Words :  Challenge your 2nd grade students with a BIG list of 200 words to use in their speaking vocabularies. Soon, they will be reading and writing these words, too!
